Deeply rooted in these ideals is our very own graffiti community. The Roskilde Festival graffiti project was established in 1999 as a platform for the emerging graffiti community. The project has hosted some of the world’s best graffiti writers, street artists and muralists. They live and paint together for a week, pushing the boundaries of graffiti and street art into unexplored territories.

Over the years, more than 1,500 artists have painted more than 20,000 metres of walls while more than 10,000 festival-goers have tested their painting skills at the graffiti workshop. More than 80,000 spray cans and 5,000 litres of wall paint have been used to create more pieces of art than anyone can count or imagine. In this book, you will see some of the most memorable."
